MBBS Program

Qingdao University (QDU) is a comprehensive institution offering 12 disciplines, including philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, medicine, management, art, and interdisciplinary studies.

QDU is authorized by the Ministry of Education of China to enroll international students in the English-medium Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) program. The program is designed to train qualified medical professionals with a solid theoretical foundation, practical skills, and a global perspective.

Program Overview

• Duration: 6 years

• Language of Instruction: English

• Objective: To cultivate medical professionals with professional competence, international vision, and sound ethical standards.

• Structure: Students study basic medical sciences and clinical courses in the first years, followed by hospital internships during the final stage.

Eligibility

1. Nationality:
   Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens holding a valid foreign passport.
   Former Chinese citizens who have acquired foreign nationality before April 30, 2022, and have lived abroad for at least two years (nine months per year) between April 30, 2022, and April 30, 2026, are eligible.
   The nationality status is subject to verification by China’s Exit and Entry Administration.

2. Conduct and Health:
   Applicants must be law-abiding, of good character, in good physical and mental health, and meet the “Health Examination Standards for Foreign Students.”

3. Academic Background:
   Applicants must have completed high school or equivalent education.
   The overall average score must be at least 70%, with no subject below 60%.

4. English Proficiency:
   Applicants from non-English-speaking countries must provide records of English study or standardized English test results.
   Applicants from English-speaking countries or those who completed high school in English may be exempt but must provide proof from their school.

6. Financial guarantee statement and sponsor’s ID copy

7. Foreigner Physical Examination Form (completed in English, valid for 6 months)

8. Non-criminal record certificate (issued within 6 months before submission)

Fees

Admission Process

After the preliminary review, applicants will receive payment instructions for the application fee. The fee is non-refundable.

Once admitted, the university will issue:

• Visa Application Form for Study in China (JW202 Form)

Applicants should apply for an X1 Student Visa at the Chinese Embassy or Consulate in their home country using these documents.
