Overview
Hangzhou International School (HIS) is the only non-profit, internationally accredited IB world school in Hangzhou. As a full IB continuum school, HIS serves children of foreign nationals in Early Years through Grade 12, ranging from ages 2 to 18.
HIS was founded in 2002 by the International Schools Foundation as a non-profit, independent, day school. ISF operates four international schools: two in Shanghai (SCIS), one in Hangzhou, and one in Cape Town (AISCT). ISF is a non-profit (501 C-3) organization located in Lansing, Michigan, and operated by an appointed Board of Governors.
We are proudly accredited by Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and we are authorized to deliver the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (DP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Primary Years Programme (PYP).

ABOUT OUR CAMPUS
In 2022, HIS relocated to a new, purpose-built campus. Covering over 50,000 square meters, the HIS campus redefines education through open, shared, and multi-functional learning and leisure spaces. It is characterized by two buildings: The Cocoon (ECE Campus) and The Lantern (Main Campus).
