The Master's Degree Program in Journalism aims to prepare a generation of highly skilled, ethically grounded Arab journalists who are both aware of contemporary social changes and able to perform successfully in multiplatform news environments.

By bridging the gap between theory and practice, the program equips participants with both practical expertise and a solid ethical framework, empowering them to critically engage with and analyze pressing issues across the Arab world and the global stage.
The program is committed to applying international standards and best practices in journalism, combining academic learning with hands-on training at leading media institutions in Qatar. Admission Requirements
- The applicant must have earned a bachelor's degree (Full time study) or its equivalent and obtain one of the minimum grade?s mentioned in the attached table.
- Students in their final BA year are eligible to apply for admission if they obtain their final degrees by July 1st of the same year.
- The applicant must be able to study and research academically in Arabic with a measure of English language proficiency, note that speakers of languages other than Arabic will be invited to take an Arabic test (oral and written) before admission.
- Applicants can submit one application only. duplicate applications will be disregarded.
- Fill in the application form in full, with all the required and supporting documents (We regret not being able to review the missing files).
- The applicant must have earned a bachelor's degree in the last five years.
- Copy of official identification (Passport for International students - Qatari ID for citizens and residents of Qatar).
- A bachelor's degree certified by official authorities.
- Undergraduate transcripts certified by official authorities including all transferred courses if any. Senior-year students submit their latest transcripts.
- A minimum of TWO references from academics familiar with the applicant's work requested via the online application form. An additional letter of recommendation may be submitted by a supervisor from previous employment.
- Applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency through one of the accepted examinations. For details on the full list of accepted examinations, required scores, and exemptions, please refer to the English Language Requirement Guide.
- All official transcripts should be translated in Arabic or English.

The Doha Institute for Graduate Studies (DI) was founded in Qatar in 2015 as a Doha-based independent institution of higher education.
